After discovering this book on Kinder Book Review, my LO is always asking for this book. And, he always wants to skip to see Matilda, the worm – “just like the worms we see in our garden”. Kiki, the fly, goes on an adventure with Rhino, the beetle. Their relationship starts out a bit rocky, but after encountering several challenges, they become friends!
I read Buzzing With Love to my 5 year old and the first thing he said was “Kiki, like Kiki my friend?” We have a neighborhood friend named Kiki so he was immediately drawn to the character. Speaking of “drawing”, the illustrations in this book are fantastic! Not too juvenile and not too bright. It’s nice for both parent and child to be able to sit and enjoy not only a story but follow along through the illustrations of a book.
I love how real life boy/girl scouts is somewhat incorporated into the story so it’s something we are already familiar with. The scouts get to graduate to new and higher levels while earning their way into new rankings.
Helping others, being a good member of your community and performing acts of kindness are great little lessons we took from the story and discussed over the next few days.
Buzzing with Love is the cutest book I have read in a while. It is very well illustrated and easy to read. The story told by these adorable bugs will encourage any youngster into believing in love. I loved the characters. Kiki and Commander Prentice were some of my favorites. I liked the interactions and introduction of new friends. I liked the values that are taught throughout the book. Being brave and taking risks are important in one’s little journey. I highly recommend this children's book. Not only are the pictures vibrant and colorful but the storyline is spot on. This book captures great imagination for both parents and children.
This story is just pure cuteness, all about the magic of unexpected friendship, the quest to fit in, and being selfless, even when someone misjudges you. Kiki, our little fly hero, swoops in to save the day despite Rhino’s initial rudeness. It's a heartwarming lesson for kids on showing love and kindness.
The illustrations are nothing short of amazing! The details are so intricate they're practically like a treasure hunt, and the colors leap right off the pages. Even though it's an ebook, it's like you can feel the texture of the pages giving it that classic book vibe. This book is a roller coaster of fun and meaning perfect for both kids and parents to enjoy together!
